Chapter 358 Detective Fucks Partner 1

• Dawn and her husband moved out of Portland and into the smaller, quieter town of Astoria, Oregon, where she took a job as a detective with the Astoria Police Department. She’d been a detective in the Portland Police Department for nine years, so she was a seasoned officer, but she was happy to leave the challenges of big city policing behind... settling comfortably into a more rural setting, with fewer and typically less sinister cases to investigate. Her husband was a work-from-home programmer for a big tech company based out of Seattle, so moving to Astoria was a good fit for him, as well.
• When she was hired for her new position at APD, Dawn found herself partnered with another experienced detective named Kyle, who was about five years older than she was. They’d been working together since she’d arrived in Astoria and, even though they’d only been partners for about three months, she found that had already developed a comfortable working relationship as police comrades. They seemed to genuinely like each other, and looked out for each other exactly the way police partners were supposed to.
• Kyle was in his early forties... fairly attractive, in good shape, funny and out-going... maybe a bit too sure of himself, though. He was also very intelligent and clever, which definitely came in handy during their investigations. When she looked into him, she found out he’d been divorced for about eight years, so he lived alone on the edge of town, about twenty miles outside of downtown Astoria.
