Chapter 7

  • *.*.*.*
  • Writer's POV:
  • An entire week passed. Taeho was worried to the core. He didn't know what to do. He'd filed complaints at the police station about his older brother gone missing, with the help of Hansol.
  • But it was to no avail as none of the policemen did anything about the issue. What Taeho didn't know was that the chief of the police had received a call from someone very powerful, asking them not to pursue any investigations having something to do with either Kim Seokjun or Jung Hosun. It was a child's play given how corrupt the police were.
  • The younger spent his nights crying and looking for his older brother by himself but to no avail. He was losing hope and imagined that the worse had happened to his brother. Where could Seokjun be? What had happened to him that night?
  • *.*
  • "Are you sure?" Namgyu asked with a frown.
  • "Yes. They're clean. Kim Seokjun, the older, is just a doctor and nothing more. The good citizen. Never been arrested, had an excellent school record, and has been donating what he can to charity since he was in high school. We discovered he had a date that night and probably went out for some fresh air before getting caught up in the shooting." their chief guard said, "The bodyguard that found you said he found Seokjun trying to cease the bleeding with his shirt. However, it was better he took Seokjun along just in case he did have something to do with all of it."
  • Namgyu fixed his glasses, brows furrowed and fingers touching his lips as he thought.
  • "And what about the other idiot?" Yoonjin asked, frowning. "He showed up seconds after I'd been shot and just stared at me. What did you discover about him?"
  • "He's clean too. Jung Hosun. He's 21 and a school dropout. He dropped out of school last week. We searched deeper. His family cut all ties with him, he has been living and struggling alone for four years now. He was arrested twice for the destruction of private property and was once found with a light quantity of cocaine on him. He was bailed out these two times by a friend. Other than that, he's harmless. He's just a little rebellious."
  • "Whatever. What was he doing around the area where we were shot?" Yoonjin asked impatiently.
  • "We discovered that the friend that bailed him out twice works at the Cherry Bomb. We were able to get answers from him after scaring him a little and he confessed to having helped Jung sneak into the Cherry Bomb."
  • "What for?" Namgyu spoke again.
  • "Apparently to find clients."
  • "Clients??" both men asked in wonder.
  • "Yes. He was owing rent and was going to be kicked out soon. He thought of making money by becoming a stripper and proposing private shows to wealthy men in exchange for money."
  • Yoonjin scoffed and Namgyu shook his head.
  • "It's fine, Jae. You may leave."
  • The man excused himself and left.
  • "What do we do with them now? They're innocent. We can't kill them." Yoonjin wondered aloud.
  • "We can't let them leave either." Namgyu stated, "They will immediately rush to report."
  • "Gyu, the police are on our side. We control them."
  • "Yes, but rumors still exist and many are ready to believe them."
  • "We can't threaten them."
  • "Maybe. The doctor will probably take the threats seriously and keep quiet but I doubt the younger one. He seems like a handful and Wonho reported to me how whenever he goes down there, that Jung Hosun insults him, screams, cries and makes a whole scene. I doubt threats will make that one shut up." Namgyu stated and Yoonjin had to agree it made sense.
  • "So what now?"
  • "We'll keep them. For now."
  • "Until when?"
  • "I don't know yet. But we can't let them leave."
  • Yoonjin nodded and waved the muscular Wonho over.
  • "Take them out of there. They should shower and get clean."
  • Who nodded, bowed, and excused him.
  • *.*
  • It was around 5 PM. Hosun was dosing off after sobbing endlessly for the nth time while Jun sat there hopelessly, humming a sweet song to himself.
  • An entire week. He couldn't help but worry endlessly about Taeho. How was he? Was he okay?? Of course, he wasn't. He probably thought his older brother was dead.
  • Seokjun felt his sore eyes prickle and he shut them tight, inhaling and trying hard not to shed more tears. Taeho was his only family now that they'd lost their father recently. Their mother had died a long time ago.
  • He was withholding tears when suddenly, the door was unlocked and opened. The buffy guard that visited them every single day, entered with two others. He nodded to the two and they approached the prisoners.
  • Seokjun did not even try to fight when a white hankie was placed against his nose, causing him to lose consciousness almost immediately.
  • A sleeping Hosun was also made to inhale the chloroform.
  • Their cuffs were removed and they were carried on the hefty men's shoulders. They all left that cold room.
  • Each was taken to a different bedroom in the huge house. While Seokjun's room was on the second floor, Hosun's was on the third.
  • The guards lay them down on the huge beds before leaving the rooms and making sure to lock the doors.

  • 8 PM
  • Seokjun's POV:
  • I moved a little, feeling something soft underneath me. I frowned in my sleep. Was it a bed I was feeling or I was just imagining things?
  • I moved again, my hands exploring.
  • 'It's a bed!'
  • I opened my eyes immediately, hoping that it'd all been a bad dream and that I was home!
  • Wrong.
  • My vision adjusted to the new environment. I wasn't home but in a bedroom that certainly wasn't mine. It was a big and beautiful bedroom. The ceiling was covered in heavenly drawings of angels, the curtains were red velvet, the bed was king-sized and beautiful lights were hanging from the ceiling.
  • I realized I still had to be in Kim Namgyu's territory.
  • I sat up immediately and rushed to the door, trying the knob.
  • 'Of course, it's locked.'
  • I looked around and my eyes fell on folded clothes on the beautiful couch in a corner. I approached the couch and found a piece of paper on the clothes that read:
  • -Clean up. There are other clothes in the wardrobe if these don't fit you.-
  • I stared.
  • 'What's all this?'
  • I picked up the soft clothes.
  • 'A week without showering. Yes, I need a good bath.'
  • I walked to the bathroom. It was beautiful and the tub was big enough.
  • There was a new toothbrush, paste, shower gels, bath bombs, and clean towels.
  • I immediately filled the tub with warm water.

  • Writer's POV:
  • After a good bath, Seokjun returned to the bedroom and climbed on the comfortable bed.
  • Suddenly, the door unlocked and a guard walked in. Seokjun sat up, afraid. The guard ignored him and put down a tray of delicious food before leaving and locking him in again.
  • Jun stared at the food. Kimchi fried rice and spicy chicken, a bottle of water, and a glass of lemonade.
  • 'Where's Sunny?'
  • He thought.
  • *
  • The tray was put down and the guard stared at a still passed-out Hosun before eventually leaving the room and locking the door behind him.
  • The sound of the closing door caused Hosun to shake and his eyes to open immediately. Panicking, he sat up and looked around, trying to understand what was happening and to know where exactly he was.
  • He jumped off the bed and rushed to the door, hitting furiously.
  • "OPEN THIS DOOR! LET ME OUT! LET ME GO!" he cried out angrily.
  • He hit over and over but is very weak, he gave up soon and slid down the door to the floor. He didn't have the energy to continue sobbing.
  • He looked around and saw how big and chic his room was. He wondered where Seokjun was and why he was suddenly in a room that had everything.
  • His eyes fell on folded clothes. He crawled to them and found a similar note to that of Seokjun.
  • Having no other choice, he picked them up and went into the beautiful bathroom to bathe.
  • When he finished, on stepping into the bedroom, he noticed the delicious food kept for him. Very hungry, he was quick to sit. He ate the meal and enjoyed it.
