Chapter 40

• Having her chin resting on her palms while sitting on the chair beside the bed, Cassie stares at Damien with a smile dancing on her lips. She was able to get him to the bed and called the physician to come to attend to him. The physician left just a few minutes ago, and she's going to be looking after him all night.
• Staring at his handsome sleeping face, her cheeks heat up as she feels her smile widens. He looks extremely handsome even in his sleep.
• "What's wrong with him? Why was he like that?" That is the question she has been asking herself all night but can't come up with a possible answer to it.
