• There was small talk when Kristine got to the complex in the morning.
• Everyone was busy except for the friendly receptionist who had made it a habit to greet her every morning. Every other person was busy having a conversation in pairs or more. Although she had a feeling she knew what was wrong, she still would have loved to be a hundred percent sure.
