Chapter 18

• Kristine spoke briefly with the receptionist before leaving the complex. She didn't attempt to tell Alexander she was leaving, as their earlier conversation did not come out well on her part and she was not ready to face him again. She was scared she might trip off and sound desperate once more.
• Kristine got into her vehicle and once she turned on the ignition, her mobile beeped to indicate an incoming text.
• "Hurry up. I don’t have all day." the text read.
