Chapter 43 The Glass Slipper Shatters

• I could see Roxanne at the end of the hall, on Matt's arm, as she stared at me with daggers in her eyes. Matt's jaw dropped evidently, as his eyes ran up and down my body. I could see the glint of lust, and anger in them as he clenched his jaw.
• That pulled a smirk from my lips, as I held my chin up, squared my jaw, and walked confidently. Lucien pulled me to the dance floor, as the slow dance session started.
• 'The spotlights landed on us, as Lucien and I danced like two lovers, in front of everybody as they watched with a mix of jealousy and admiration.
