Chapter 9 Love Portion
- "Are you following me?" A male voice said, startling me.
- I squinted my eyes trying to figure out who had the voice. There were only two men in this house and one was fast asleep.
- Antonio "I beg to differ" I said firmly, throwing myself on the couch.
- "Well, it seems as if you are. Or maybe we're so connected that you felt my body yearn for you" He turned on the side lamp, which shone more light on him, revealing his current state to me.
- "Yada yada yada. I came here for some peace and quietness. I didn't come to have a conversation with my demons" I sighed, looking up at the ceiling I couldn't sleep. The bad dreams wouldn't let me sleep. Unfortunately, those bad dreams were something that happened to me.
- "Why are you awake?" He asked after minutes of silence.
- "Who sleeps when their enemies are everywhere. It's like you're begging to be killed" I fired back, scoffing.
- "Ouch" He chuckled lightly.
- "Yeah." I said, nodding my head.
- "Ever since you left. Ever since I let you leave, I found it hard to sleep" He admitted, his voice barely audible.
- I didn't know what to say. Wait, did he say he let me leave? "You threw me out. I didn't just wake up one morning and decide that I was leaving"
- "Elissa.."
- "It's freaking Melissa to you!!!" I almost screamed. "Stop. Stop calling me Elissa. You lost that right 6 years ago"
- "And I regret it, El - Melissa. I regret it a lot" He was staring at me and I could see him with the corner of my eyes.
- "Can you stop talking? These are the times I use to map out good business strategies" I said, shutting my eyes.
- "What can I do to right my wrong?"
- This man really didn't understand English and I wish I could speak Spanish to him, maybe he'd understand that one.
- "Stay away from me and my family." I glared at him.
- I watched him as he stood up and walked down to where I was and dropped himself on the chair, without my permission or warning.
- I raised my eyebrow at him inquisitively. He didn't say anything as he just rested his back on the chair, looking at the ceiling. I moved aside, creating space between us. Though, I couldn't create much space as desired because this particular chair was small.
- "We were apart for 6 years and it still didn't right my wrong so I need another way" He said.
- "Keep doing it and one day it'll work" I smiled halfly at him.
- "Can I ask a question?" He spoke up again after a moment of silence.
- "What difference would my answer give if you'd still defile it anyway?" I rolled my eyes.
- "Did I hurt you that bad?" He asked softly. "Is it that bad that I don't deserve forgiveness?"
- Did he just ask me that?
- "You know what? Have a good night rest" I stood up, slipping my legs into my flip flop. Before I could move, he pulled me back on the couch.
- "Don't leave, please" He said, his grip on my hand strong.
- I wanted to snatch my hands away from his because his touch was burning me, but then my eyes went up to his and I just sighed.
- Why are you being soft, Melissa?
- I can't wait to leave this house. I just want to make Grandpa happy, if not I would've used this opportunity to drive home, dropping a note for Gerald. He'll understand.
- "Your hands are still as soft as a baby's hand" He smiled, caressing my hand softly.
- "That's... That's enough" I snatched my hand away from his.
- "Sit here. I know what will help us" He said, patting my thigh before standing up immediately.
- Finally! Peace.
- Few minutes later, he came back holding 2 cups in his hands. He gave me one which I reluctantly took.
- "What's this?" I eyed the cup suspiciously "Love portion" He said seriously.
- "No shit. I won't even put it past you" I raised the cup to my nose. It was scenting nice.
- "It's from Grandpa's collection" He said, urging me to take a sip.
- Sighing, I took a sip. "Yuck!" I crunched up my nose.
- How can something that scents so nice be this sour?
- Antonio was laughing out loud, not minding if he'd wake others up. "Gosh! Your face" He said between fits of laughter.
- "You're so annoying!" I jabbed my finger in his chest. "Stop laughing!" I dropped the cup on the table where his was.
- He stopped and looked at me and began to laugh again. I heard footsteps and tried shushing him but he wouldn't stop so I pounced on him, covering his mouth with my palm.
- "Shut up. I think someone is awake" I whispered.
- I didn't realize our position until his hands snaked around mine. He peeled my hands off his mouth, his dark eyes staring deep into mine. I couldn't move as I was feeling all jelly.
- He pressed me into his body. I could literally feel his genital organ. It was coming to life little by little.
- "Don't move. There's something creeping on your hair" I began to panic as he said that. I wanted to touch my hair but he wouldn't let me.
- "Slap it off then!" I whisper yelled, gripping his shirt.
- "I have to be gentle with it, before it gets into your shirt" He said, pulling me close to him until my breast was on his chest and his face on my neck.
- No, I don't believe him. However, I was scared to act rashly before it really crawled into my shirt.
- "Can you kill it now?" I asked His hot breath fanned my neck, making me squirm a little. He used his nose to run lines along my neck. "I just needed this closure" He whispered.
- I knew it!
- "You're so annoying!" I shoved his chest, pushing myself off him. I was still caged by his hands on my waist.
- "At least, I know you still trust me" He smirked.
- "Let me go!" I ordered, trying to get out of his grip.
- He held my two hands at my back with one of his hands, pulling me into him. "I don't want to do that, Cupcake"
- I bucked my hips into him, making him groan. "Okay then, how about we have a little fun while everyone is sleeping?" I smirked He didn't know what was going to hit him.
- "W-what?" He stuttered "Don't you want to play?" I bit my lips, shaking my hands, trying to break away from his grip. When he finally let go, I dragged my hand up his chest to his ear.
- Just when I was about to squeeze his ear so hard, the light came on and 3 pairs of eyes were on us.
- Oh no!
