• Annabel stepped through the school gates, her bag slung over one shoulder, her head held high. Whispers went on behind her as students turned to steal glances. She ignored them all like she had always done. It had been weeks since anyone had seen her, and the curiosity in their eyes was glaring, to the point of popping out.
