Chapter 5

• Aleena's POV
• Leia silently walked toward the cabin, trying not to make any noise, and our noses hit with the smell of sex coming from the cabin. The closer we were going toward it, the stronger the scent was becoming.
• I was pretty sure what was coming next and even did Leia, but she didn't stop herself from going there. She peeked from the window to see what was going on inside, and if I would say that my heart broke seeing our fated mate fucking someone else, then that wouldn't be a lie.
• We recognized him, Alpha Liam Thompson of the Fire Cross Pack. He was famous for his reputation as manwhore in the state. That's why dad never let Eva and me near his pack, and totally I finally met him.
• Yes! I didn't feel good seeing what I was seeing, and I would blame mate bond for that. But more than me, someone else was hurt. I could feel her pain. I didn't want to pass any mean comment because she wasn't happy with the human with whom she paired and now also mates.
• Not being able to see all this for long, she ran away from there. But she was not going to the packhouse again. I kept my mouth shut, giving her some time to get over this pain. I knew that she needed this. She kept running endlessly and poured her anger on everything which were coming into her sight. She killed a few animals like deers, rabbits, and even a lion but ate flesh from none of them. She finally stopped running when there was no land to run to next because we had reached the cliff. She sat over there, looking at the full Moon, and then sobbed. She complained to her mother about sharing her miserable life and sharing a body with an evil human and, on top of that, manwhore as a mate. She kept cursing me in front of Moon as if I wasn't there at all. She was blaming me because of my evil nature; her mother punished her by pairing her with someone like Alpha Liam Thompson. 
• Could she ever stop bitching me?
• A few hours passed, and even the Moon had changed its position, silently signaling to us that soon the sun was going to rise.
• 'We should leave, you know.', I suggested, on which she growled at me angrily, indicating that she didn't want to go anywhere right now. An hour more passed, and finally, she rose from her seat and ran back to the packhouse! Since it had been more than three hours since I last used the perfume to hide my scent so there was no way I could cross the patrol without my scent getting caught.
• I was preparing in my mind what answer I would give after reaching there because they would definitely ask the truth from me. The number of warriors on patrol had increased when I reached there again, maybe because their Alpha was injured.
• And they were eyeing me like I was a danger to them. I shifted back; thankfully, my clothes were intact to my body, and this fact also shocked him. Truth to be told, I myself didn't know the real reason behind it. I raised my hand in surrender to show that I wasn't any sort of danger to them.
• "I mean no harm."
• "Who are you?"
• "I'm the sister of your new Luna, Aleena!" I responded since we reached her by car here, not most of the people recognized me because they didn't check the car in which Alpha arrived here. They didn't question me anything else because if this fact came out to be true, then messing with Luna's sister wasn't a great idea. I saw one of them was mind linking someone.
• Their first choice was Alpha, but since he was injured, I already assumed who they were talking to.
• Damn it!
• That Beta again!
• "Beta Stephen is coming here. Until and unless he confirms about the same because we have never seen you before. We can't let you inside.", The same person who had mind-linked him said. I didn't have any other choice than to nod my head. I was in this situation because of my stupid wolf. I waited for the next ten to fifteen minutes from that Beta, and finally, he reached here in his wolf form. I didn't want to admit but seeing the size of the big grey wolf, anyone could say that he had alpha blood in his vein. He shifted back in human form and stood in front of me butt naked, but he gave damn to that part because, in the werewolf community, it was habitual to see everyone naked when they started to shift because not all the time it was possible to carry clothes everywhere.
• All the warriors bowed down their heads in front of him while he was busy glaring at me.
• "Let her come. She is indeed Luna's sister.", He ordered, and finally, those warriors let me enter the pack. And the moment I thought to walk toward the packhouse, he held my wrist, bringing me in front of him.
• "What kind of behavior is this?" I snapped. "I have to go inside."
• "Oh no! No! No! You are not going anywhere without answering a few of my questions.", he said in a dangerous tone.
• "I'm not answerable to you."
• "Of course you're. Because you are standing in my land, and since Alpha is not in the state to ask anything from you, so you will have to answer me, OR the consequence of this won't be in your favor.", he warned.
• "Excuse me?"
• "You're not excused, Ms. Williams. You were missing after you saw our Alpha in that injured state. Where were you? Was it your plan to kill our Alpha? And how did you sneak out of the pack and none of the pack members come to know about it? Were you involved with those vampires who attacked our Alpha?" he bombarded me with tons of questions in a fraction of a minute.
• And before I could have prepared myself for his question, he swiftly pulled out the gun from my waist belt.
• "Hey, that's mine." I tried to fight with him, but he showed his hand, signaling me to stop.
• "Anything you will do right now can be used against you. So shut your mouth and use it only to answer the question which has been asked to you.", he warned and sniffed the gun, checking the bullets. "Vervain Bullets.", he mumbled and then looked at me. "You used it to kill those remaining two remaining vampires which escaped from the hand of Luna. don't you?"
• "You are overthinking.", I responded confidently, and deep down, I was curing my wolf because of her I had in this situation because this Beta was too smart to my dislike.
• "Your family members and your sister could fall in your charms by looking at powder puff's face and observing your confidence. But not me, Ms. Williams. I'm not one of them. Instead of staying by your sister's side in this tough situation, you were busy wiping the evidence so that we can't reach near them and through them to you." I knew he was just concluding everything on his own as there was no strong evidence against me, but a part of me was scared.
• "Warriors!"
• "What are you doing?" I asked because I could feel that whatever was coming was not a piece of great news.
• "Placing you at your right place.", he resorted. "Aleena Sandra Williams, you are under arrest for planning to kill the Alpha of our pack and also for wiping the evidence.", he announced. "Warriors, arrest her."
• "What?" I gasped in horror. "You can't do that to me! Only Alpha has the right to order something like that. And you are just a beta. Not to forget, I'm the sister of Luna, accusing me of the crimes which I didn't do will bring a lot of trouble in your life.", I warned him.
• "In the absence of Alpha, I have every right to take orders on his behalf. And you are the sister of Alpha's mate, who is officially not the Luna of the pack. So, even she can't do a thing in this matter.", Warriors, arrest her and put her in the cell.", he ordered.
• "Hell, No way!" I shouted and started fighting with the warrior who was coming closer to me to arrest me. "I didn't try to kill your Alpha, nor I had planned anything against him.", I screamed at the top of my lung.
• And that was the truth. I wanted to kill that bitch, not Daniel. "Now, I will make sure that you will be charged against attacking warriors too.", That Beta said. And I knew that he was right. The more I would try to handle the situation by violence, the more the things would be turned against me. So, I stopped fighting.
• I hated to agree, but I knew only one person was here who could help me in this situation.
• "I need to talk with my sister. Don't forget that she is the future Luna of this pack, and when the truth will be out, you all are going to lose your job, and I will make sure to convince her to also kick you out of the pack.", I threatened. Now the warriors were caught in a tough situation. Either to take orders from the current Beta or to the person who was close to their future Luna.
• "What's the commotion here?", Finally, I heard the voice which I hated the most, but at the same time, I wanted to hear her voice at her moment. I looked at her helplessly. "Aleena, where were you? No one could find anything about you anywhere."
• "She left the pack to wipe to erase the evidence that would have to lead us to her."
• "Sorry? I don't get it.", She asked, furrowing her eyebrow and looking at that Beta.
• "Eva! He is accusing me of planning to kill your mate and his Alpha.", I responded before he could have replied to her confusion.
• "What kind of sick accusation is this?" Eva growled.
• She literally growled.
• Like a wolf.
• But she was a human, wasn't she?
• Last night, she was running like a vampire, and now she was growling like a wolf. What was she? Or was I daydreaming?
• "With due respect, Luna. Your sister is under arrest because of the little evidence we find against her."
• "You're not going to do that to my sister, Beta Stephen. And this is my order."
• "I would have taken your order from you if you were an official Luna of the pack, but you're not. Not until you are marked and mated with Alpha and yes, by taking Luna's oath too.", he reminded her, putting her back to her place.
• Damn it!
• Why was he speaking so logical things that no one could override it?
• This time, Stephen walked toward me instead of me, not the warriors. But Eva stood in front of me to protect me, just like the good sister she was.
• "I won't mind arresting you, Luna, if things come to my Alpha and my brother.", he said in a serious tone. "Now, the choice is all yours; where do you want to stay, in the cell with your sister or near mate and help him to get well soon, so that your sister's trail can be heard as soon as possible." he offered.
• Immediately Eva stepped away from me and turned toward me before speaking, "Don't worry, Aleena. I will not let you stay in the cell for long. If I will stay with Daniel, then he will get well soon than expected, and once he will fine, then the first thing is that I will ask him to get your name clear from this accusation.", She explained.
• I knew she had a point in her words.
• In case of any injury, mate presence helps to recover as soon as possible. For example, if, in a normal case, a werewolf takes the time to recover one week to recover then with the help of a mate's presence, he or she could recover in three to four days.
• "He will be alright in a day or two.", She added.
• It meant I had to stay in the cell for one to two days. I wanted to involve dad in it, but I also knew that involving dad meant welcoming war between two packs. Because neither dad would let me stay in a cell nor the people would let me go easily, not when the life of their Alpha was at stake.
• "Okay!" I nodded, clenching my fist. And in no time, Stephen grabbed my arms tightly and started dragging me toward the cells, which I was sure would be underground of the pack because that was where the dungeon was made. I didn't fight back because I was planning how to take revenge on him.
• I just let him push me inside the cell. Then he locked the door of the cell. Instead of an iron rod, a silver rod was used everywhere. He turned around to leave when I grabbed one of the silver rods of the cell in anger.
• "You will regret this.", I said, gritting my teeth. He gave me a side glance over his shoulder, and without saying anything, he left there. I left the silver rod and looked at my palm, it had been burnt because of it, and it was important.
• This would remind me of the insult that I had gone through today. Everyone! Everyone was watching me being dragged by him, but no one came upfront to help me.
• I would teach everyone a good lesson by becoming the pack's Luna, and this time I would plan something BIG.
