Chapter 4

  • Aleena's POV
  • 'Please don't tell me that Silas turned her into a vampire instead of killing her.'
  • And even if he would have, then there was not a single drop of blood near her neck or anywhere which could prove my point.
  • And the top of that, the blood which was on her clothes was Daniel's.
  • "Luna, this… and you…."
  • "I will explain everything to you later. Call the pack doctor immediately while I'm taking him to the room.", She said, cutting the Beta in between. I took followed her inside. Because of the loud howling, everyone was almost awake, and seeing Daniel in this state was not a great view to anyone.
  • "Dan…", His aunt screamed like she was his mother and ran toward him to check on him, but my sister quickly vanished from there, taking him to the room. "Did she just run away like a vampire?", She asked in shock.
  • "Yes, Mom.", Paige said, nodding her head.
  • "Leave that topic, and let's go near Dan.", James, his uncle, said, running toward Daniel's room except me because my phone started ringing, showing Silas's name on display. I walked inside my room and locked it before receiving the call.
  • Before he could have said anything, I started yelling at him, keeping my voice low as much as possible, "You stupid leech, I had asked you to kill her, and you turned her into a vampire?"
  • "Mind your language, Mutt. You told me that I had to kill a human and sent me to kill a vampire instead."
  • "Excuse me?" I said in shock. "My so-called half-sister is a vampire? Is this some kind of joke or April fool's day?"
  • "Consider whatever you what to by checking your IQ.", he spat.
  • "Seems like you don't love your life, Silas.", I warned him for the kind of tone he was using for me.
  • "Even I think the same now that I don't love my life now because I don't think your sister will live me alive. You should have seen how she killed my nine vampires friends, ruthless and mercilessly. Somehow, her mate situation was degrading; that's why my friend and I escaped from there."
  • "Where are you right now?"
  • "In the dark valley near the riverhood pack."
  • "Perfect. Stay hidden there. I will see what I can do in this.",
  • "Yes. Think about that only because your sister doesn't look like some normal vampire; she was highly trained, but at the same time, don't forget to send dozen of humans to this place as per the deal."
  • "Sure. They will be reaching thereafter half an hour or so. That's why I asked your address, didn't I?"
  • "Yes! Yes!"
  • "Okay then. Let me arrange the other things.", Saying this, I disconnected the call.
  • 'I know what you are thinking, bitch.' Leia smirked. Well, obviously, she would know; after all, we share a mind together.
  • I knew I had to figure out how the hell Eva turned into a vampire, but before that, I needed to finish her unfinished task of killing those leeches. Before anyone could reach them and then through them, they could reach me; then, my game was over. Thankfully most of the people were busy with Danel's situation. That's why they were least bothered about my presence; hiding my scent, I sneaked out from the packhouse.
  • Yes, I was also too good at this part.
  • ******
  • "Aleena, what are you…", Silas stopped speaking when he saw me taking out the guns loaded with Vervain [Vervain is a potent herb and a vampire's most well-known weakness. If a vampire makes physical contact with Vervain in any form, it will burn them. If a vampire ingests Vervain, the vampire's throat and digestive tract will be burned, and they will become feverish and extremely weak. If a human ingests or holds Vervain somewhere in or on the body (e,g, holding it in a hand or pocket, wearing it in the jewelry), the human is protected from the vampire.] bullets.
  • Without giving them a chance to escape, I shot the other vampire's heart, who had opened the door for me, and then at Silas's legs so that he wouldn't die soon. I wanted him to experience a painful death.
  • "You were speaking a lot over the call, weren't you?"
  • Silas wiggled on the floor because of the pain. I reached near him and pressed my boot's heel, which was made up of silver, over his hand.
  • "Aaahhhhh!!!" he cried in pain and tried to use his other hand to attack me, but I shot at his other hand before that.
  • "When I had told you that you are not allowed to harm Daniel. Didn't that part clear in your mind?" < I hissed in anger, rubbing my heel against his hand as painfully as I could.
  • "I…I…. didn't…want…to..hurt…him but…the girl…was…unstoppable…so…we…had…to…use…her mate…to…escape…fro..m…there!"
  • "Now die leech for hurting the person who was mine.", With this, I shot directly into his head, and in no time, his complete body turned into ashes. "Too bad. You really think that by hurting Daniel, you can escape." I talked with the ashes.
  • 'Too bad. He really thinks that he can trust you.", Leia commented. 'He should have thought that if you can think of killing your own sister with whom you had spent your whole life, then what's the big deal in killing someone you barely know.', she added, on which I rolled my eyes.
  • In these last four years, I was habitual to her rude and meant comments.
  • 'You mean to say my TRUTH. Well, don't feel bad when your face is ugly, and I feel showing you the mirror.', She snorted.
  • If you were thinking, why was I in human to fight with them? Then that was because my wolf never supported doing anything which she didn't think as of right. That was why I had learned everything to do on my own like a human, even though I was a werewolf. That was also a reason that I trained myself to become stronger even in human form. I could take down 3-4 werewolves at one time in my human form. The only benefit of her presence was that she used to give me a lot of strength.
  • I pressed my lips tightly, forbidding myself from speaking anything because I knew that I had to return back to the packhouse, and if she would be pissed at me, then I would have to walk till there because she would completely deny shifting. I gave control to her so that she could shift. And she did; just like that, while she was returning back to Daniel's packhouse, a mouth-watering smell of chocolate and caramel hit our nose. I was not a fool who wouldn't understand whose scent was that. She stopped running and looked around, sniffing in the air.
  • 'Let's get back to the packhouse, Leia! I'm not interested in finding out whose smell it was.', I said, but she didn't care what I was saying. After all, it was she who was in charge of my body. She changed the direction of the route, and her paw started hitting the ground from where this smell was coming. And finally, we saw a cabin in the middle of the forest near a lake. Since our scent was hidden, I was pretty sure that whoever our mate was had no idea about her presence.
