Chapter 70 Audrey's Request

• It was a beautiful morning but Audrey couldn't get enough sleep thanks to Lord Adonis who was only few steps away from her. She was so cautious of everything she did, from trying not to snore to trying not to make any sound that could irritate him as she could feel his eyes on her, she wondered what he was thinking about." Could he be thinking of taking away my voice again? Could he be thinking of killing me?" Her thoughts drifted further and further until it rested on Pearldina. "I wonder how she is doing?" She said to herself. "I wonder if we will really meet again someday like she promised?" She began to sigh heavily without realizing it.
• Lord Adonis could not stop thinking about the broken barrier. He might not look worried but he just couldn't overlook the fact that Pearldina broke through the barrier and if she was heading towards Acris whose barrier had weakened greatly the last time they met, he feared he would be driven to a corner if they combined forces and a fight would be inevitable.
• He wasn't confident about his current state of health, that aside he found himself worried about Audrey and the fact that she could get hurt because of him. He has to return to the palace of ice and soul as soon as possible. He has a better chance of protecting her there in his territory.
