• I looked at him standing there silent, wondering why he was one moment sweet and warm, then the next, a jerk. It was like he wanted me to believe he was bad, but I couldn't understand why he wanted me to believe that .
• It was bugging me and I decided I wanted to know the real reason why he was hot one moment then next cold; I opened my mouth to speak but then his eyes looked ahead, looking alarmed, and I followed his gaze, finding a green light glowing in between the darkness of the trees.
