- I sighed, slipping my key into the lock. The door creaked open, and I stepped inside, shutting it behind me with a soft thud. The day had been hell. I pulled my hair loose from the tight bun it was twisted into, letting it fall around my shoulders and brush against the ink on my neck, casting faint shadows across my green tattoos.
