Chapter 98 Her Traitorous Heart
- After dinner, Stefano quietly wheeled the trolley of used dishes out of the room and handed Leah’s damp clothes to the hotel’s laundry service for cleaning and drying. Then he locked the door behind him, took one of his shirts from the cupboard, and walked over to Leah.
- When he stepped back into the room, he found Leah standing near the bed, nervously fiddling with her fingers and chewing her bottom lip. By now, he was well aware that this was an old habit of hers—something she did whenever she felt anxious or uncertain. And right now, she looked like she was both.
- “Here,” he said, offering her the shirt. “Wear this for the night.”
