• Before she could catch her breath, his strong arms swept her off her feet. She gasped, instinctively clutching his shoulders, as he carried her straight toward the bathroom. He stepped into the shower with her in his arms. The water hadn’t even started yet.
• Placing her gently beneath the showerhead, with urgent hands, he untied her robe and slipped it off her trembling frame, discarding it carelessly in the corner. His gaze never left hers—not for a second. Then he dropped to his knees before her and his hands gripped her thighs, firm and possessive, and he lifted one to rest over his shoulder. The sudden stretch made her gasp again, hands flying to brace against the slick shower wall behind her.
