- Leah woke up with a sharp wince, her head pounding as if a hammer were striking her skull. A groan left her lips as she struggled to open them again, blinking against the brightness.

Marble floors gleamed under the soft lighting, dark mahogany furniture exuding an air of power and wealth. The sheer size of the bed she lay in, covered in silky sheets, only heightened her unease.
