• Mariana sat up from the bed, yawning. Sunlight filtered into her room in rays, lighting dust particles in the air. Her mouth watered as the smell of scrambled eggs reached her nose. She wondered if the maid was the one cooking. She didn't like that maid one bit.
• Some women would just willingly throw themselves at a man if he is wealthy and attractive. It was why she didn't want a husband as attractive as Marcello. He didn't even have to work to be unfaithful—it would sit right in his laps.
