• Candice hadn't come to school today, and that was good. I didn’t like how she was always clinging to me.
• I sighed as I started walking my way back to the packhouse. It was only a ten minute walk from school and I usually went in Candice’s car. But today, I was glad that she didn’t come to school and I get to walk alone. It has been a long time since I walked home alone…without having to listen to Candice’s crazy stories.
