• Everything was going fine and dandy until dinner time, when Krimson deliberately sat next to me on the large formal table, even though there were several other tables available on every other side.
• From across the table, I saw Cameron and Freya exchange a secret look with each other before both of them turned towards Alex. I think I saw him shake his head discretely from the corner of my eyes, but I could’ve been mistaken.
