Chapter 45 The Bargain

• With a giant spotlight provided by his bodyguards, James Harristian dives to the bottom of the pool to search for Delilah Starley's necklace. James did not even think much about his actual purpose for dipping in such a cold and deep swimming pool. He was even willing to take a few breaths at the surface and then dive back to the bottom. His eyes lit up when the spotlight refracted, then made a slight sparkle at the bottom, not far from him.
• James immediately swam forward and took up the necklace. He quickly rose to the surface with the chain coiled between his fingers. His fist was the one that came to the surface first. And as soon as he appeared with the necklace, his guards cheered and clapped as he won the war.
• James' head went to the surface, and he wiped the water off his face. Before long, Grey ran over to him, who swam to the pool's edge and climbed up. He gave James his bathrobe so he wouldn't get cold. James pulled himself up with the help of a guard's hand and gasped as he climbed up. Another guard then ran into the mansion and shouted to all his friends searching inside.
