• The corners of Lorrenzo’s mouth twitched, but the smile never fully came. His dark gaze stayed pinned on me, heavy and unreadable.
• "You could call it that," he said after a moment. His voice was smooth, but it held an edge that made my skin tighten. "We haven't been on a real date yet."
