• Anger swelled within me when I saw Rex's battered face, how could Nate have messed up his face like that? What made them fight. You fool, of course, it's over Isabella! - I told myself.
• I stepped aside so Nate would pass, he too was well battered in the face, not as Rex's was but good enough, I ran over to where Rex was and he pulled me in a tight embrace before I released myself from his grip and clean his nose with my handkerchief.
