Chapter 2 Ready to Blow their minds

  • Tory's POV
  • When I got out of the shower, I headed straight for my closet. Though, my mom made a few adjustments to my uniform, making it a lot tighter so that it would fit my curves perfectly, my old sloppy clothes were still in there. Even some of my dad's clothes that I used to wear where still there - thank goodness. I thought my mom would throw them out.
  • I took out the well-ironed, sparkling white sleeves and fitted black and white patterned skirts and put them on before I combed my golden mane of hair that fell just below my butt with wavy curls that gave my once pale face a striking glow.
  • I just applied lip gloss and a little bit of mascara for my eyes while my sisters watched me, obviously impressed that I didn't need their help. Honestly, it felt good to do this after two long years of wallowing in self-pity and " looking like I'm a zombie from a horror movie" like Toni put it.
  • " So, who was it?" Toni asked and I sighed, seeing that she won't back down until we talked about my dream.
  • " I don't know, Okay?" I lied. It was far too mortifying for me to admit that I literally was dreaming of that bastard called Nate.
  • " That's a lie and you know it, Tory," Tia said as she flashed me a mischievous smile.
  • " Ugh! Fine, It was - " I paused and my entire body was filled with goosebumps as I remembered my dream.
  • " Who?" Tia asked.
  • " I can't say it okay, just forget it," I said vehemently and Toni folded her arms and scowled at me.
  • " It was Nate," I said with a sigh because I knew I was gonna regret it but I had to discuss this with my sisters.
  • They didn't react the way I expected, instead of laughing at me and teasing me they just sat there watching me like I'm some adorable kid.
  • " Damn, dad's letter to you works wonders!" Toni said as she shook off whatever hypnotic stare she had on me.
  • " Seriously, the minute you got that letter, you finally agreed to let us give you a makeover and that's something we've been begging you to let us do!"
  • " I just had a moment of clarity Tia, that's all," I said with a shrug.
  • " Forget that, so Tory you're attracted to Nate?" Toni asked with a mischievous grin on her face.
  • " God no! Nate is not my kind of guy at all" I said crossing the air with my index finger.
  • " Then why the hell did you dream of him if you're not. Come on! Everyone knows that he's a total hottie" Tia said with an eye roll.
  • " Yeah, he's undoubtedly the hottest guy at school" Toni supported.
  • " Excuse you, that's Rex," I said and they both burst out laughing.
  • " Tory, Rex is hot, that's for sure but compared to Nate, he's like a baby hottie," Toni said, rolling her eyes.
  • " Are you kidding?! That's absurd." I said almost too loud.
  • " Toni, give her the stats," Tia said and they both shared a knowing smile and Tony started;
  • " This is a comparison of Nate and Rex's features. First of all;
  • - Nate is 6'4 while Rex is 6'2.
  • - Nate has striking green eyes while Rex has blue eyes, honestly, that's a fifty-fifty thing.
  • -  Seventy percent of girls admit that Nate's abs are their own conversation.
  • - Sixty-five percent of girls at school admit that they'd rather date Nate than Rex if they had to choose.
  • - Finally, ninety-nine percent of girls think that Nate's jawline is their religion. So, there you have it." She said so briefly that I barely even bothered to listen.
  • " You forgot to add that Nate is like the handsome Platinum blond bad boy Draco Malfoy while Rex is like the kind and sweet yet handsome good boy, Harry Potter,"  Tia said and they both laugh.
  • " And you know good girls like bad boys," Toni said, raising her brows up and down mischievously.
  • " Not me, there's absolutely nothing to love about that punk"
  • " Girls are you still sitting there whiling away time. Let's go already!" My mom yelled from the sitting room downstairs and we all scrambled to put our books in our bags.
  • When we started coming down the stairs, my mom who was dressed in an elegant, red gown flashed us a smile as she saw us all looking like we used to three years ago.
  • " Oh my baby, look how beautiful you look!" She said as she squeezed me in her tight embrace.
  • " Thanks, Mom" I said when she released me and hugged my sisters.
  • " Trust me, Nate is totally gonna kiss you for real today. It's not gonna be a dream." Tia teased and she and Toni laughed and I glared at her.
  • " I told you, I DON'T LIKE NATE!" I growled and they both stopped laughing, knowing I was starting to lose my temper. It was funny how they knew I had a bad temperament yet they piss me off all the time! Siblings...
  • " Okay, I like that you're talking about boy issues good work girls," my mom said to my sisters and they winked at each other, thinking that it was them who made me start talking about boy issues. Yeah, right, if it weren't for my father I'd still be the uptight Tory everyone at school knows.
  • " Brian!" My mom said and the handsome, young man came before us and greeted us all.
  • " Drive my daughters to school today and immediately it's time for the close of school, take them straight home, understood?!"
  • " Yes ma'am," he said as he flashed her a smile and opened the door to the black Rolls-Royce and we entered.
  • " Are you ready to blow away people's minds today Tory?" Tia asked me and I nodded my head and smiled.
  • I AM READY to blow away minds today- especially Rex's mind and Nate better stay clear from me if he knows what's good for him.
