Chapter 5 Rejected

• Alpha Chamber*
• Alpha Orion stared out of the window as he undo his shirt buttons,the moon was so bright up there. The door opened at once and Xander came in
• "Orion......"
• "I want to be alone" Orion cut him off immediately without looking back
• "Tell me what is going on in your head,it's disturbing and you know that" Xander said
• "Do I have to repeat myself?" Orion asked calmly and Xander sighed
• "Fine,goodnight" He muttered and walked out.
• Orion rolled his eyes and walked into bathroom,he undressed and got into the tub of extremely cold water,he let out a loud sigh and closed his eyes.
• As he sat in the cold water, Orion tried to clear his mind. But no matter how hard he tried, his thoughts kept coming back to Adella. He couldn't stop thinking about her, about the way she looked at him, about the way she made him feel. And he knew he shouldn't be feeling this way.
• He was the Alpha, and she was just a weak Omega . There was no way this could work.
• But even as he tried to reason with himself, he couldn't help but feel drawn to her. It was like she was a magnet, pulling him in with her very presence. He shook his head
• “what are you planning?” Asher asked
• “not now,I'm not in the mood to talk” Orion said
• “You're not talking but thinking! We need to talk about our mate!”Asher said and Orion sighed
• “I'm rejecting her”He said
• “You must be joking,we are not rejecting......”
• “I'm not speaking for us but myself,I can't have an Omega as a mate,the moon goddess must be joking” Orion said
• “She's our mate!! We've been searching for years!! I'm not rejecting her,she's just perfect,and if you care to know,I am in love with her already!!” Asher yelled and cut off the link before Orion could reply
• Alpha Orion scoffed
• "Is he kidding?" He muttered and Adella came to his mind
• That little wolf doesn't fit to be called his mate,He's the alpha for moon sake,never will he accept to be humiliated in such a manner,never.
• The thought of Adella kept battling in his head and he closed his eyes,trying to stop the thoughts from swirling around in his mind.

• Next morning**
• Adella woke up to an unbearable hunger,she was so hungry and weak,Even Marie haven't said a word to her since last night,apart from the fact that she's sad about their mate,she was also tired and weak too.
• Adella didn't bother to call her,she got up from the bed. The room Willow brought her to last night was smaller than the one Ashley was staying,but still it has a bed,something Adella never imagined in even years to come,she's sleeping on the bed.
• As much as she would have loved to lay her back and just sleep,she couldn't because she was starving seriously. That was when she realized that she had almost spent more than forty eight hours without either food or water.
• She groaned and held her tummy before finding her way out of the room. As she walked,she was looking around,not as if she knows where exactly she was going but still she never something to eat or she might just die at that very moment.
• Everyone she walked past kept staring at her,some would laugh and some would give her a disgusting look,well of course she knows she was looking crazy. Her long hair looked so scattered,her dress was half torn and covered with blood,she have no shoes on and her legs had dried blood all over,above all she was looking super small and skinny compared to everyone else in the castle.
• But Adella cared less that very moment,she need to eat first,even if it's a fruit,just to save her life.
• Suddenly,a sweet aroma from nowhere passed in front of her nose and she stopped
• Adella sniffed the air, trying to figure out where the smell was coming from. It was sweet, like fresh fruit, and it seemed to be coming from a room nearby.
• She followed the smell, moving through the corridors and down a few flights of stairs. The smell was getting stronger and stronger, and she was getting more and more hungry. Finally, she reached a door that seemed to be the source of the smell.
• She hesitated for a moment, then knocked on the door. There was no answer. She knocked again, and still there was no answer. Finally, she turned the doorknob and pushed the door open
• “Meat!!!” Marie shouted and Adella swallowed
• When last has she smelt meat?? Talk more of eating it??
• “What are you waiting for?! Find it!” Adella said hungrily
• “Marie,this is the Alpha's castle,if we get caught,we are both dead” Adella said
• “If you don't eat something,I can't promise you anything,we will end up still dying” Marie replied and Adella swallowed hard
• She turned to where the aroma came from and began walking toward it.
• Soon enough,she got to the kitchen and it was empty
• "Where's everyone?" Adella muttered and her eyes caught with the boiled meat inside the bowl
• “hurry up and take one before anyone sees us* Marietta said
• Adella’s stomach made a loud noise and without thinking twice,she rushed to the bowl and took one,she pushed the meat into her mouth at once,not minding the hotness,she began chewing and then took another one,she shoved it into her mouth again which became full at that.
• She took the third one and turned to run out,she bumped into two bodies at the door and she fell on the floor.
• Adella looked up and her eyes widened when she saw Whitney and Lightney glaring at her hatefully
• She managed to swallow the one in her mouth
• "How dare you!!" Whitney yelled and slapped her immediately
• Lightney grabbed her hair and dragged her out of the kitchen with it
• "You thief!" She yelled before throwing her on the floor
• "Ah" Adella groaned in pain,tears rolling down her eyes
• "You dare come into the kitchen to steal?!"
• "I was just....hungry" Adella said in tears
• "You should just die of hunger!!" Whitney yelled
• Other maids were beginning to move closer toward the scene
• Adella cowered on the floor, trying to shield herself from the angry words and looks. She had never felt so small or scared in her life. She just wanted to run away, to hide from everything and everyone. But she couldn't move. She was frozen in place, her heart pounding in her chest.
• "Please...please...I didn't mean to steal," she stammered, trying to defend herself. "I was just...I was hungry. I haven't eaten in days. I...I..."
• But her words were lost in the angry sea of voices that surrounded her. She could feel the hate

• Willow walked quietly beside Alpha Orion ,Xander hasn't showed up and Orion never called for him either.
• There was total silence in the air until Orion broke it
• "The girl we saw in the wood" he started
• "The omega?" Willow asked and Orion nodded
• "How did she left the dungeon?" He asked
• "Oh...she was badly injured from silver cuts and she lost her consciousness......"
• "Silver??" Orion asked
• "Yes,so the beta ordered me to take her to lady Ashley who healed her,I have no idea how she left the castle" Willow replied
• “you won't ask how she got the cut?”Asher asked Orion
• “it's none of my business” Orion replied and Asher growled angrily at him
• Orion cut him off and continued walking.
• Just then,they sighted the maids from afar joined together,then Whitney and Lightney hitting someone on the floor
• "What's going on?" Willow muttered
• The maids saw the alpha and immediately bowed
• That was when Willow and Orion saw Adella on the ground,she was crying and holding a piece of meat in her hand,her lips already got bursted from the slaps
• "What the f**k" Willow mumbled unbelievably
• "Morning Alpha" Lightney and Whitney greeted with a bow
• Adella looked up as she heard that,her eyes met with Orion’s cold expressionless eyes and she didn't look away
• "What happened exactly? Who are you to treat her like that?!" Willow snapped at Whitney and Lightney
• "She's a thief! She stole meats from the castle kitchen!" Lightney said
• "Alpha" Willow turned to Orion whose eyes were still on Adella
• "Let her go" He simply said and walked away Orion pushed open the door to his chambers and stormed inside. He was furious. He couldn't believe that a lowly omega had gotten the best of him. She had somehow escaped from the dungeon, and he had no idea how.
• He felt like a fool, and he couldn't help but feel a simmering rage deep within him. How dare she defy him like that? How dare she make him look like a fool?
• Willow immediately ran to Adella
• "Hey,are you okay?" He asked and Adella broke into more tears
• Nothing in this life hurts more than what happened just now
• “He saw us right?? He saw us” Adella said sadly
• Adella only cried more harder
• “I'm sorry,it's my fault,I shouldn't have suggested you eat the meat” Marie said
• "What is she still doing here in the palace anyway?" Lightney hissed
• Willow looked up with an angry glare
• "Shut up,will you?"
• They rolled their eyes and walked away
• "Hey get up" Willow helped Adella up
• "Thanks" Adella wiped her tears
• "Are you hungry?" Willow asked and she immediately shook her head
• "You should clean up" Willow said and she nodded
• She started walking
• "Hey" Willow called and she stopped without looking back
• "What's your Name?" Willow asked and she looked at him
• "Adella" She said
• "I'm Willow" Willow said
• Adella nodded and walked away slowly with Willow staring at her till she was out of sight.
• Willow stood there, watching Adella as she walked away. There was something about her that he couldn't quite put his finger on. She seemed familiar, yet he was sure he had never met her before.

• Adella opened the door and walked in,she was still in tears but as she entered,she saw the person she least expected at that very moment.
• It's Alpha Orion standing right in front of her!!
• Adella sniffed in her tears and stood still,wondering why he was there until he spoke up
• "Do you know?" His voice came so coldly but Adella understood what he meant
• Gently,she nodded her head and looked down avoiding his eyes
• "Don't give yourself any hope" Orion said and Adella looked up
• "Don't expect anything" He added and Adella summoned the courage to talk
• "W...why?" She asked,staring into his eyes
• "I'm going to reject you" Alpha Orion said and Adella could feel a painful sting in her heart
• "I......"
• "I won't change my mind,so leave the castle before dawn" Alpha Orion said at once and walked out of the room,slamming the door behind him.
• Adella’s lips trembled as she tried her best to control her tears but they came rolling down straight on her cheeks.
