Chapter 40 WHAT'S NEXT?

• Katie wanted to hand the cup to Margaret, but, she waved her off. And so, the girl placed it on the side-table near her Mistress. From the look of things, Katie wasn't comfortable. She moved backwards a bit to avoid any unexpected abuse.
• “What's going on out there?” Margaret asked as she sat down on a sofa.
• “Everyone is still in their various rooms. I think, most people got drunk. Madam Amanda seems to be okay. I don't think she had a lot last night.” Margaret was literally nodding to every word her maid was saying until she sipped the coffee and cried out.
