• The authorities already arrived, taking her body away. The syringe with the poison was taken as evidence too. A bottle was found in her cupboard. I was devastated. My mind was conjuring up fatal scenarios if that syringe penetrated me.
• This felt so.. untrue. It's expected – she's always been cruel– but I was convinced she was genuinely contrite and wanted her son back. I had no idea she lured me out here to– to kill me.
