Chapter 19 Locked Outside

• Alexander:
• I stood on the balcony, phone pressed to my ear, trying to focus on the conversation. But my mind kept wandering back to Lou. I had never seen her so angry. I found myself loosing focus as we spoke. I was so eager to end the call but he wasn't having it.
• The call was from my business partner, and it lasted for thirty minutes. By the time I hung up, the night air had grown chilly, and I was eager to get back inside to see her. I can't believe the call lasted that long.
