• Is he crazy? I thought to myself, staring at Scott, who looked deadly serious about what he had just said. Both Bonnie and Peter had surprised looks on their faces as they tried to process why he wanted to join our date.
• "Boss, I thought you said you had something to attend to?" Peter asked, while Bonnie’s eyes remained fixed on Scott. She had met him but still had no idea he was my ex—the same man she loathed so much.
