• (Allison's POV)
• I quickly crouched beside Liam, caressing his face with a made-up smile. "Your Daddy is busy, Liam, and he can't spend the night here. He has lots of documents to handle, and that's why he needs to go home," I said to him, but Liam shook his head in disapproval.
• "Are you saying his work is more important than us?" he asked, wearing that sad face that always tempts me to give in to whatever he said. I won’t blame him anyway; he got that attitude from me. But allowing Scott to spend the night here was not something I could allow.
