• Xavier's heart raced as he dashed out and jumped into one of his cars. The engine roared to life, and he sped toward the gate with a mix of urgency. Questions buzzed in his mind like angry hornets. Why would Reina resort to such risky behavior? Was she desperate to flee from him so much that she put her life in danger? Xavier's grip around the steering wheel tightened as the tires screeched to a halt as he approached the gate. The bodyguards, who had been on high alert, exchanged surprised glances at the sight of their boss stepping out of the vehicle, their expressions a mix of confusion and concern.
