- I didn’t even notice how late it had gotten until I glanced at the clock. 8:07 p.m. The hospital’s training room was empty except for me and Jasper, and my body ached from hours of non-stop practice.
- “Jasper,” I sighed, stripping off my gloves. “Thanks for sticking around today. Let me buy you dinner.”
