- By the time the second wave of Caleb’s cries hit me, I’d had enough.

- Gripping his tiny, trembling shoulders, I leaned in, my voice sharp, cutting through the suffocating tension in the sterile hospital room. “That’s enough, Caleb! Vanessa will come when she’s done with work. Right now, you need to stop and get some sleep.”
