Chapter 76 Aching
- We spent the night at a motel in the thirteenth pack, the last pitstop on the way to the Lycan King. At dawn, I stood beside Kaelan's horse, my stomach churning with nerves. It was high time we shared a horse.
- "Ready?" Kaelan asked, appearing at my side.
- I nodded, unable to find my voice. Our night in my estate still replayed in my mind, and each memory made me clench my thighs. However, I wanted to practice a sound mind despite the desires burning inside me. The heat was undoutedly coming, and there was nothing I could do to stop it. Last night at the motel, Kaelan and I barely slept. We spent the night discussing my fears about the king. I explained all my suspicions, as well as the sick horse I'd first arrived to BlackWater ridge with. He'd listened, agreed with me and promised to get me intel about the king from his father. Something Aldrich wouldn't want people to know.
