• After about fifteen minutes, I return with the breakfast for the diners, as well as their drinks. Everyone thanks me and I go back to attending to the customers who are arriving.
• During the entire time they are there, I discreetly observe Ian. He also does the same with me, and I feel his gaze on me at times. When they finish, I approach to remove their plates and offer them something else. Everyone declines and asks for the bill, however, I feel the stranger watching me with special attention.
• "You look very familiar to me," he says as he looks at me curiously. "Have you ever traveled to London?"
