Chapter 20

• " You're really something, aren't you? " Alex drawled out lazily as he stared up at her from under his thick lashes. Ava ignored him and continued, loudly this time.
• " And it's Adams, not Evans " She corrected him firmly.
• Alex threw her a look which meant he didn't take lightly to being corrected. Ava returned his look with a defiant stare and they remained that way for a while until Alex finally gave up with a sigh. She wouldn't be easy to deal with, something within him kept giving him a warning signal.
