Chapter 8 Katherine Never Fails

• Katherine swiped the case off the passcode tab and punched some numbers in, whilst leaning on the wall tiredly.
• The door chimed and unlocked.
• She dragged herself inside and removed her sandals, slipping her legs inside the flip flops.
• She had changed back into her previous dress and walked out of the hotel just like a normal coffee girl just coming from a coffee delivery.
• "I'm home."she announced in a drawl.
• James' face perked up before her. He was stretching a ceramic cup of steaming tea to her.
• "I bet you're tired. Drink this slowly."
• She flashed a smile at him before collecting it.
• To James astonishment,she chugged the burning tea down her throat in a GO.
• "Kathy,how are you crazy?!! That's fvcking hot!!"his eyes popped out in disbelief.
• "Well..yeah,I am indeed crazy. I've went totally crazy that I think I am crazy. I need to get a rest...shower first"she said incoherently and thrusts the cup which still has a warm temperature in his arms.
• She dashed past him and went into her room.
• 'Did she failed?.'James thought to himself.
• Well, Katherine is not the type that fails.
• She has never failed a mission before except once. That was in Saudi Arabia then.
• She failed because a missile was launched but she risked her life to get part of the job done still.
• He sighed and stared at the empty cup in his hand.
• She didn't even left any drops of it.
• That girl has indeed gone crazy.
• ...
• Next morning.
• ..
• Maverick eyes opened slowly and came in contact with the ceiling.
• The beautiful chandelier shines its light in the room greatly, setting the whole place brightly.
• He squints his eyes, feeling great pains in his head.
• That was the after - effect of Katherine's drug.
• He tried to stand up but he failed.
• He gazed down at his body and saw that he was in his nude state.
• He recollected the other day scenario and his eyes snapped up in anger.
• He wore his cloth and defied the frail state of his body by forcing himself up.
• He smashed the table in the room into pieces before yelling out the boys names.
• They just woke up too and were still exchanging concerns with one another as to why they slept off when they heard Maverick's call.
• They rushed inside and he shot his angry look at them.
• He got his gun from the drawer and shot them all in their arms, avoiding hitting a vital point.
• They muffled a groan.
• "Where the hell were you all when a woman came in here to sleep with me yesterday?!?"he barked.
• The boys exchanged looks.
• Slept with him?
• That sounds unreal.
• "Don,we were standing guard in front of the door last night,but no woman came in. I assure you."one of them replied.
• Maverick scoffs.
• "You didn't heard me when I called you last night, Danny?! Did you guys dare to betray me?!!"
• They all went on their knees then fists their hands, placing it on their chests in a pledge.
• "We've vowed never to serve any other boss except you,don. We would never attempt a betrayal. Also,boss,I didn't hear you calling me yesterday. I deserve to be punished."Danny kowtowed before him.
• Maverick gritted his teeth.
• "You guys slept, didn't you?."he gazed down at them.
• "We would never lie to you boss. Yes,we did slept. We didn't know how it happened but we found ourselves sleeping on the floor this morning but we didn't think much to it as.."
• "Enough!"Maverick shouts.
• Now,it makes more sense.
• "You slept right after you drank, no?"
• They nodded affirmatively.
• Maverick rubbed his lips menacingly.
• "I was drugged yesterday too. A woman came in here and..r*ped me!! The effrontery!! Who gave you the drink last night?!"
• "It was Marvin,boss."
• "Go get that assh*le for me."he seethed in rage.
• "Assemble our boys too."
• They nodded and rushed out.
• Their body was already stained with blood.
• Maverick scoffed again before going to the table he'd wrecked down.
• He found the pieces of the glass cup and bottle on the floor beside it then glared at it.
• The liquid in the bottle that poured on the floor has dried out also,if not,he would take a sniff of it to discern the kind of drug that was put inside his drink was.
• "Boss!!!"Danny yelled from outside before running inside, panting.
• "There is a problem,boss. The hotel is in chaos. According to the news I gathered, some group of people broke in and poisoned everyone. Girls were raped, boys were raped..boss..."he panted heavily.
• Maverick narrowed his gaze at him.
• "And,our boys?!"
• "Yes. Although, they were not raped,but they were drugged. It..this seems to be a big organization hand work."
• Maverick smirks.
• Marvin came through the door, having a worried look on his face.
• "Boss Maverick,were you spared?. I heard a bunch of ghosts raided this place yesterday. They had all the drinks in our bar poisoned.
• Maverick glared at him.
• "Is this some kind of prank of yours?! I got raped!!! Now you are telling me they were ghosts?!!! Does a female ghost possess boobs or cl*t?!!"
• "We don't know how they got in,Mr Maverick. They just appeared all of a sudden!!"
• Maverick took a sharp breath in before laughing hysterically.
• "That damn girl!!!!!!"he kicked the chair away angrily.
• "Request for backup,Danny. And,get some cure for our boys. I will haunt her down!!!"
• "Take me to the security footage room, Marvin!"he ordered.
• Marvin nodded quickly and streaked out,with Blade behind him with a gun.
• They got to the security room and met the guys in charge of that sleeping their life out.
• Maverick groaned in anger.
• He marched to the system and checked the footage but found no record of the girl or the supposed people that attacked.
• "They wiped their record out?"he smirks.
• "Well,this is interesting. I like playing anonymity."he chuckled surly before giving the system a blow on its screen.
• The wires sparkles.
• ..
• A man sat beside a window, sipping quietly from his warm tea.
• Another man dressed in black suits came inside.
• "Mission accomplished,boss."he bowed.
• The boss laughs silently.
• "Katherine never fails."
