Chapter 5 Coffee Girl
- Taylor swift's music,'Last kiss' was playing repeatedly on the stereo player.
- Katherine groaned and pressed the pillow to her ears.
- The volume was increased and she yanked the duvet away from her body and hurried out of her room to go howl at James.
- "I know you love Taylor, but can you please stop disturbing me with that song this morning, please?!! Turn that fvcking thing off!!"she snarled at him.
- He was lying down on the couch with pieces of cucumber glued on his face.
- James opened his eyes with a sigh.
- "Good morning to you, Kathy."
- "Well, dude, you just fvcked my morning up!"she glared at him before going to knock the music off.
- "Chillax, Katherine. Besides,it seems 'dude' was the only word you were taught on the street cause you keep saying that."
- "Go to hell!"she yelps and mauled a pillow at him which he dodged.
- "All songs but it has to be last kiss this very day?!. Are you tryna pass a message down to me that tonight would be my last fvcking day?!"
- James sat up and puffed out.
- "You always turned things around. You've always been pessimistic, Kathy."he uttered sternly.
- "Don't give me that serious face!"she screamed.
- James shook his head and sprang up then walked away.
- "Fvck this dude."she cursed him again before collapsing on the sofa.
- James came back with a plate of hot spicy spaghetti and the angry look on Katherine's face disappeared into thin air.
- She started beaming with beautiful smiles.
- "Look at you going all giddy. Breakfast in couch."he handed the plate over to her.
- "Let me go grab a box of milk for you."
- "Aren't you just soo sweet, Jammie."she drawled out in a squeak.
- "If you say it like that, you would make it seem we are lovers."he scoffed before scramming off again.
- "But I've already said it like that."she laughed.
- "You like repeating words, Katherine."he came back.
- He placed the milk down beside her.
- "I mean, how do I like to repeat words,in which way?"she raised up her chin.
- "There. Well, put down your chin, that makes you look like a peacock."he rolled his eyes.
- "I mean where do I repeat my words?. You don't actually mean I look like a peacock,do you?"she twinkled her eyes.
- James stared at her and pressed his lips together, trying to suppress his rage.
- "Just go brush your mouth."he grunts.
- "No way! After seeing this palatable, scrumptious, mouth - watering, delightable, succulent, delectable, luscious, savory, sumptuous, aromatic, flavorful, divive dish, you think I could afford to leave it?"
- James gazed at her as if she's lost it.
- "I know you would forever be grateful to the boss for giving you a job to get closer to that english professor."
- Katherine laughed.
- "Oh,that brings in memories. That guy is a total psychopath! I can't even ask him a simple question of a yes or no without him involving a big grammar, like what the fuck! It got to a point where I have to download dictionary on my phone just to check out his grammars as he is blurting them out. Good - bad old days in NY."
- James joined in her laughter.
- "It's a good thing I've traveled to NY way before I was given that job, else,he would have made me to hate that city!"
- "That's actually really funny. But, baby girl,go brush your mouth."
- "Just call me bitch. And,what do bitch'es do?! They absolutely don't give a fvck about what you think about them."she took the fork.
- "You have a mission today. You cannot mess that up,you know?. I mean, what impression would you leave on Maverick should you kiss him with a dirty mouth?"
- Katherine raised her brows at him before giving her ear a little poke.
- "I am a bad b!tch! Besides, this is just work! We might never see each other again!!"she sang.
- James shook his head.
- "Dream on. You were asked to have him release in you. That means a child will connect you both together, surely. At the.."
- "No. After giving birth to him, boss would probably try to use him to negotiate with Maverick."she chipped in, roughly.
- "How do you know it would be a Him?"
- "My instincts. Huhuhu. What?,shocked?"
- "You seem to like this idea,Kathy. Besides, you don't know what is on boss's mind."
- She shrugged with an eyes roll.
- "I just have to accept my fate."
- "Hmph! Now,go brush your teeth!"
- "Nah, I'mma bad bitch! I will brush up while taking my bath."
- ..
- Katherine took a long hour bath and clothed herself in a short white gown.
- She had the dress she would be putting on in the night in her bag.
- "You going now?"James asked her when she stepped into the parlour.
- "Yes. Apparently, Maverick has eyes everywhere so I have to be careful. And part of being careful is having to act as a coffee girl in the coffee shop near the hotel."she huffs while straightening her hair.
- She rarely packs it up as she enjoys the way it always flow behind her when let's down.
- "That doesn't makes sense to me. By the way,he likes coffee?,so you are going to approach him first as a coffee girl?"
- "Well, that sounds awful. I won't insult you today, Jammie."she jeered at him.
- Jammie sighed.
- "Did I said anything wrong again?"
- "Of course, you did."she scowled.
- "Where?"
- "Come ask my big buttocks!"she rolled her eyes.
- "Anyways,I would be receiving updates too from the men about Blade's movement."
- "Since he would be in the hotel, his men would be planted around the surrounding, and the coffee shop wouldn't be left out."
- "Now,who keeps repeating words?"she scowled.
- "I was going to say you would attract attention if you keep receiving phone calls."he grunts out.
- "Ah,what a dummy. Are you sure you dropped out or you were dropped out of college?."
- "The statements sounds the same to me."James arched his brows.
- "Don't worry, Jammie. And,my boyfriend could be the one calling me so?."
- "Those guys have crazy technology. They could confirm your identity and everyone close to you within seconds."he exaggerated.
- "I don't believe but i would be using wireless earpiece, not phone. I think I'm good."
- "Yes, you are good to go,coffee girl. Go bring me a nephew!"
- "Nephew?"she strained her eyes at him.
- "Either way, just go bring me a baby!"he grinned.
