Chapter 4 Pinky Promise

• In the bustling streets of Morocco,women smiled around and kids run around.
• But,all kids are not Katherine.
• She sat at a particular side in the street,where it was less lively,and sat on a stone under the scorching sun.
• She was tired. She has been searching around for what to eat but today seems not to be her day; A bad day.
• She gazed at the kids that streaked past her with popsicles in their hands.
• She felt the urge to hijack that from them but that would only put her in trouble.
• She had got into trouble with the street lord before.
• They gave her twenty whips on her back and warned her that if she ever does anything like that again,they would send her out of the street and that would lead to lowest rate of survival for her.
• The kids back then seems to be the kids of their master.
• "Earth to you,kid."a man's voice sounded and following after was a snap of his fingers in her face.
• She looked up at him and groans.
• "Why so tall?. You should be six feet under."she gritted.
• "Oh,come on, little girl. Do you know me before that you want me dead?"
• "You're rich; I am poor. It makes sense that I wants you dead."she grimaced.
• "You are hungry, aren't you?"
• "I do look like an hungry fowl. No need to ask."
• The man smiled.
• She looked down as she felt she was straining her eyes as she was gazing up at him.
• He went on a squat before her then brought out some money from his wallet.
• Katherine's eyes glowed in excitement.
• "Is that for me?"she made to collect it but he withdrew his hand immediately.
• "Yes,no. But not so fast, baby girl."he grins.
• "What do you want?"she frowns.
• "How about we make a deal?"
• She scrunched up her nose.
• "Hit me with the details."
• He nodded and pursed his lips.
• "I will give you food,and you will help me to kill."
• Katherine's face went into a deep frown.
• "What do you mean by kill?. Kill who?"
• "Some bad people."he replied.
• "Deal."she smiled before taking the money from him.
• He extended his hand for a shake.
• She slapped it off and giggles.
• "I will prefer a pinky promise."she pushed out her pinky finger.
• He puckered his lips before shrugging and locking his smallest finger with her's.

• "Again?!"James exclaimed when he saw Kathy walked towards the couch with another bowl of vanilla ice - cream.
• "I might die tomorrow. Let me have enough fun."she rolled her eyes and sat beside him.
• "What's the name of this movie?"she nudged her head to the television.
• "Moving."he responded.
• "You mean moving as in movie?"she teased while James only scoffs.
• "I wish I have the kind of power that Bongseok possesses. That would make my missions easier."he let's out.l wearily and slapped his neck.
• Katherine scoffed.
• "Superpowers?. What a woah movie. Which kind of power does that girl have."
• "She cannot get hurt. If she got an injury,her flesh will squelch up, leaving no injury."
• Katherine's upper mouth raised up a little.
• "You mean,if she get stabbed,she won't be affected?,like she doesn't feels any pain?"her eyes brightened up.
• "Not like that,miss. She would feel the pains but soon her injury would healed with no traces in a short time."he explained.
• Katherine hit him on his shoulders and snapped her fingers.
• "I would definitely need that power. If I get stabbed tomorrow or maybe..I got hurt anywhere or maybe killed,then I would wake up again just when they've left?."
• James rubbed the place she'd hit while passing her a glare.
• "That hurts!"he snarled.
• "Sorry."she chuckled.
• "Why don't you just run away?!"
• "You want me to be a run away bride?"she giggled.
• "You're insane."he shook his head and turned back to the TV.
• "I am insane because I am in friends zone with you."she grinned and scooped some ice cream in her mouth.
• "By the way,you don't have any new mission?"she asked him.
• "It looks like the boss is cooking something dangerous for me."he snorts.
• "Hahahaha. I pray he gives you a mission to go make Selena fall in love with you."she poked his arm.
• "Then,I would be dead! You have such a bad mouth, Katherine. And,it is also unfortunate that your unfortunate words always comes to reality sometimes. Do you badly want my head chopped off?!"he freaked out.
• She puts another spoonful of ice cream in her mouth.
• "Stop exaggerating. Why would a lawyer chop your head off?!"
• "Well, Incase you don't know. Her papa is an ex soldier. Again,he could chop my head off both in a legal and illegal way should he finds out about my identity. He has great connections,you know."
• "So does the boss."Katherine chimed.
• "Tch! The boss looks like someone that would abandon an agent in turbulent times so I'm not gonna put my hope on him."
• "But, what if he actually asked you to do that?"she pierced her eyes into his.
• "Then I would be damn!"
• "Come on, Jammie. A lawyer's daughter isn't that bad. They are the most caring."
• Jammie gnashed his teeth but suddenly smiled.
• "He has a son also."he stated.
• She raised her brows at him.
• Why is he telling her what she knows?
• "Tame him. That might be your next mission."
• "Asshole!!"she smacked his head.
• "You're definitely not a good friend, Kathy. You want Selena for me, but you don't want her brother for you?"
• "Never. That's insane. The boss knows me just too well. I don't do love sh!ts."
• James rolled his eyes to the TV and huffs.
• "I've missed some scenes because of you."he grimaced.
• "There's a reverse option since you have your phone connected to it."
• "That would take a lotta stress. I really don't like stressing myself."he whined.
• "Another day to tell you that you were born with a man's body but with a woman's soul."she scoffs.
• "Everything just stresses you."she added with a scoff.
• He reversed the movie.
• "Have you seen the boss's face before?"she suddenly questioned.
• "Not again."he groaned,not wanting her to disrupt his movie again.
• "Come on. Just say yes or no."she snorts.
• "No. I just know he was the one that brought me to the organization. But I can't seem to remember his face."
• "Me too."Katherine puffed out.
• That night,she went to sleep in worry of what the next day holds.
