Chapter 59 A New Day

Last night they were supposed to have a lovely night out, but it ended badly because Heather decided to show up and mess with Cassidy's head. Rowan tried to calm her down and helped Cassidy open up. He tried to make her talk to him, but he failed and ended up having to let her have her privacy after numerous tries to find out what Heather said when they were alone.
He knew last night Cassidy left his house with a positive attitude, he actually thought they were going to have a nice date night. All was going well, up until he saw his ex. He knew that Heather was vicious, she could bring anyone down, and that was just how she was.
Heather even admitted years ago that she felt smug after she made the chairman of one of her woman's associations cry. Thinking back years behind, Rowan remembered that Heather was doing it just because she wanted to be the center of attention.
