- I ran Willow a luke-warm bath. Her skin was on fire and despite the fact she kept telling me she was freezing, she was burning up. I wasn't sure if her body was rejecting my mark or she just wasn't strong enough.
- "Baby," I say to her as I gather her in my arms. Her eyes are still firmly shut. I walk over to the en suite and carefully put her naked body into the water.
