Chapter 50

• Before Nathan could know what was happening, Noah and the rest of the team had picked him up on their shoulders just like his own team does when they win. He couldn’t believe it, when the game started, he had thought he would be an embarrassment to the Phoenix Suns and all of a sudden, he had helped them win. He was still swirling in the mystery of it all until he heard someone shouting his name and he turned around to see Calvin limping towards him with his crutches and his phone held up high. “It’s Tracy,” he shouted, “she wants to talk to you.”
• The guys put him down finally and he took Calvin’s phone and pressed it on his ear, “hello?” he said and then had to take the phone away from his ear when he had a lot of voices screaming, he knew then that a lot of people had gone over to his house to watch the game with his family. After some seconds, he placed the phone back in his ear, “can you guys please stop shouting, there is a lot of screaming going on around here and it’s hard to hear you guys.”
• “Damn it man, I knew you got it in you,” he recognized the voice as Steven’s and he had to roll his eyes, they didn’t even allow him to speak with his love first. “Damn, Coach Harrison wants to speak with you,” he said and he had the shuffling in the background before Coach Harrison’s voice came on line, “hey there boy, told you, you are going places did I not? Can you see the standing ovation, it’s for you boy, it’s for you.”
