Chapter 39

Tracy could feel her heart beating loudly in her chest; she doesn’t know what to do. She had told him to wait and he did and now she doesn’t know what to say. She could hear the whispers, although it was supposed to be a murmur but she could hear what they were saying and she blanked it out, she doesn’t want to think about anyone now, she doesn’t want to think about anything or anyone but the young boy standing a few meters from her with his back to her.
She took a deep breath and then took a step to go meet him when she felt a hand on her arm stopping her; she turned to see the furious Gary and he asked before she could say anything, “Where are you going?”
That’s right, where am I going? She repeated in her mind and turned to Nathan who was now looking at her, still looking so lost and downcast. She closed her eyes and made her decision and she said to Gary, “let go.”
