Chapter 31

• Cindy pushed herself closer into Nathan’s arms, her fingers trailed to his hair, tangling a few strands with her index finger, her fingers tracing circles on his neck as goosebumps arose on her body. A soft moan left her lips and she just wanted to melt in is arms but just then, Nathan stopped the kiss and moved away from her. When she tried to claim his lips back, he averted his face and she ended up kissing his cheek.
• Nathan sighed and closed his eyes, when he opened them, he glanced at her and immediately wished he hadn’t when he saw her teary eyes. “I’m sorry,” he whispered, “I really am Cindy, I mean…” he licked his lips. “You are a nice girl, you are beautiful, you are sweet. I may not have noticed that before but these few days I have spent with you, it gave me an insight about you and I assure you that any man would be lucky to have you.”
• “Then why?” she asked, her voice croaky because of her held in tears, “why can’t you be the any man?”
