Chapter 23

• Nathan sat on the floor beside his bed in his ruined room, he had heard Tracy’s car started and had seen her drove away. And the sight was as if every little bone in him was broken for his body felt so light and his legs couldn’t carry him anymore and so he landed on the floor. He had been crying for hours now but it seemed like his tear glands are not preparing any anymore for he couldn’t even make a single sound again.
• What hurts most was the fact that he was still feeling down, the fact that the pain in his chest was still painful and heart wrenching. He could tell it was evening now and he knew his mother would be back soon and the last thing he wants was her coming back and meeting him like this and then asking questions he doesn’t have answers to.
• Everything still felt like a dream, Tracy breaking up with him after giving him the most amazing trip ever and now it was as if nothing ever happened. Like it was all a dream all along and sadly, he has to wake up now. He reached for his phone somewhere on the bed where he had flung it after hearing it ring and thinking it was Tracy but was disappointed to see it was not.
