Chapter 27 Socializing

• All through the journey, Jasmine tried not to think; she could not even move an inch from her space as she was sandwiched between her pretentious parents, who ran out of things to talk about and were quiet all through the journey. She could only tell they had arrived after the car came to a halt and the door was opened from the outside.
• Ushering them into the magnificent were the seriously dressed royal staff who Jasmine thought were the doormen. Hands hooked with her dad's against her wish, and to her discomfort, she walked into the heavy door, which was pulled open from the inside by hefty-looking men.
• If she hadn't been warned to react moderately to things she saw and heard, Jasmine would have let her jaw drop to the ground at the gorgeous interior design and the exquisite-looking people swarming around in the expensive dresses and glasses of wine in their hands.
