Chapter 22 The Coming-of-age Ceremony

• Eric felt ashamed, he felt attacked, he felt helpless, he felt hate, he felt teary and all other emotions a person was supposed to feel during a time like this.
• There was his mother on one side questioning him about his eavesdropping, and he was sure the gossipy royal maidservants and guards all heard it, and it was going to spread out like wildfire in the dry bush that the glorious Eric was caught eavesdropping.
• On the other hand, was his useless brother, who felt he had the whole world beneath his feet, questioning him about his reason for being late. He felt like yelling into their ears to let him be and leave him to do whatever he wanted to do.
