Chapter 1
- Creek
- 07:00 p.m
- Blake Blackwood sat in front of a waterfall in Creek,a supernatural world thriving alongside the physical world; which could not be seen by mere mortals. Throwing stones into the water and humming tunes slowly to himself.
- "Go away! I want to be alone" He muttered coldly immediately he sensed a presence behind him.
- "And if I don't? You're just fifteen, not old enough to tell me what to do or not do" Eight years old Dominique scoffed and sat next to him on the grass "besides my dad owns this pack so I can stay wherever I like"
- "I hate being around people, can't you just understand it?" He groaned involuntarily triggering the wolf in him.
- "Blake, I'm not just anybody" She mumbled staring softly at him "I'm Dominique, and my dad already adopted you so.. we're family now".
- "Why do you enjoy being pest?" Blake asked glaring daggers at her "whatever happened to minding your business" He scoffed.
- "Not again guys" Fourteen years old Axel interrupted sitting between them "I thought you guys already promised dad that all your bickering would end?"
- "We're not even having any disagreement" Dominique hissed loudly.
- "Besides you should learn to mind your business as a Beta more often, it helps"
- "Minnie" Blake cautioned her, and slowly took his gaze to Axel and found him staring at Dominique "He's older, and there's something called respect"
- "whether or not he's older, it doesn't matter" she said almost inaudibly with a disgusted look on her face "he's still going to be below forever, an ordinary be..."
- "that's enough Dominique!" Blake interrupted her sounding really harsh "in fact leave, get out"
- Reluctantly, Dominique walked away not without shutting Axel and Blake mean glares.
- New York, U.S.A
- 09:25 p.m
- "In the nineteenth year of the reign of Alpha Edward, things turned upside down..." Aurora read before she paused, diverting her gaze to Lyra her five years old daughter who stared at her with so much anxiety in her eyes.
- "What happened mum?" Lyra asked noticing he mum's slight reluctance to go on.
- "Princess it might get scary, and it's late already" Aurora replied with a look difficult to phantom "I don't want you having any nightmares"
- "I won't have any nightmares mum, I promise" Lyra pouted "I'm itching to know what caused thing to turn upside down"
- "Many centuries ago, all the werewolves lived together in Almerita, divided into clans, with a Clan head for each.
- All the werewolves were all under the authority of Alpha Edward and the only enemies to the werewolves were the witches; the black witches precisely. Suddenly, the light in the Orago Lamp grew dim..."
- "What's an Orago lamp mum?" Lyra asked interrupting her mothers story.
- "it's a lamp, usually kept in the Alpha's Chamber to track records and the activities of pack members" She explained "no more interruptions sweetheart" she added and Lyra nodded staring intently at her mum in expectation.
- "The light in the Orago lamp grew dim, but Alpha Edward was too busy to notice. And it kept growing dim as days passed.
- So one day, during a council meeting, it went off completely" She paused and Lyra gasped shockingly.
- "The very few pack members who noticed this began to panic but before it could be brought to Alpha Edward's notice, loud noise and howls were heard, then followed by slashing of swords..." she trailed off, trying to ensure that she had Lyra's entire attention before forging ahead.
- "Alpha Edward got off his throne with the intention of checking out what the problem was, when his beta stopped him and walked out with all the other council members" Aurora sighed and flipped to the next page.
- "When Alpha Edward waited for close to an hour with no sight of his beta, he shifted to his wolf form and with his eyes glowing emerald green, he rushed out of the chamber, his paws meeting the ground violently."
- "I know you said no Interruptions mum, but quick question" Lyra pouted cutting her mum off "do werewolves really exist?"
- Aurora's heart skipped a beat as she stared at Lyra not trying to make it obvious that she wasn't expecting.
- "Uhm... pr...incess why don't we talk about that some other time?" she stuttered "Like..when I'm done with the story?"
- Lyra nodded though staring suspiciously at he mother and wondering the reason for her sudden change in mood.
- "...The moment he stepped outside,he was shocked to the bones at the sight before his eyes. Blood was literally flowing and dead wolves were laying scattered allover the place, left lifeless in the sun to rot was his beta, and that was it!! the last straw that broke the Carmel's back..." she trailed off.
- "He decided to kill whoever was involved in whatever was going on, regardless of who it was" she read and paused taking her gaze to lyra who in turn mumble "scary!"
- "...Before he could swing into action, he was surrounded by witches and some werewolves who he recognized to also be clan heads..."
- "so there was a conspiracy?" Lyra asked interrupting her mum once again.
- "yes there was, and princess, try to act your age sometimes" she teased "don't interrupt me any more sweetie, let me finish up the story so it doesn't extend till tomorrow night"
- "Yes momma" Lyra whispered giving her most innocent expression.
- "...The pack army assembled and a very serious war, known as the Argatian war took place. Because the wolves weren't prepared before the attack, a huge number of them were killed, including Alpha Edward and his entire family"
- "so sad.." Lyra pouted sadly.
- "Wolves who were aware of the war, ran away from Almerita to seek for safety, forming different packs and spreading throughout the universe" Aurora read the last line then closed the book before diverting her gaze to lyra only to find her asleep.
- "My Inquisitive little darling" she smiled and pecked Lyra's forehead, before she turned off the bed lamp and walked out of the room wondering why the prophecy was left out.
- Getting into her bedroom, Aurora sighed taking off the locket around her neck, and once it was off, there was a magical transformation physically and within her.
- Her hair stretched and became longer, her eyes began to glow like the sun, as her body radiated perfection.
- "Everything I do, I do for my child, and the fulfilment of the Almighty's will" she muttered and was suddenly clad in an immaculate white robe flowing behind her before she vanished.
