Chapter 7 Poor Communication

• “What are you doing?” asked Alpha Darren as he saw Diana struggling in the kitchen. He had just finished his shower and thought she was still in the room, but she was apparently in the kitchen.
• Diana glanced at Alpha Darren, without answering, she only gave an answer through glances at the ingredients she was preparing.
• That made Alpha Darren go straight to Diana and take the knife from her hand. “Why do you need to cook? If you're hungry, you can buy food outside.”
• Who would have thought that Diana would take the knife, holding the sharp part, which made Alpha Darren panic beyond belief in his heart. He then carefully held Diana's hand and took off the knife, putting it down.
• Alpha Darren let out a sigh. “Alright, what do you want to eat?”
• *“Can you just sit down and not bother me?” Diana asked annoyed. She just wanted to make a normal toast sandwich because she was really hungry but Alpha Darren was bothering her.
• Instead of answering Diana, Alpha Darren returned the knife to its place. “This thing is very sharp.”
• Diana could only roll her eyes lazily. She thought to herself: obviously it was sharp, because it was used for cutting!
• In the end, Diana was forced to continue cooking with Alpha Darren watching over her. The man leaned his body in front of the refrigerator while watching Diana cook.
• Actually, Alpha Darren didn't want Diana to get hurt from cooking. Alpha Darren was afraid that Diana would be cut by a knife or accidentally touch the hot stove. But because he wasn't forthright, his attention was like an ordinary restriction for Diana.
• That's the life of a couple who have been married for a year but with very poor communication.
• Alpha Darren got an egg from the fridge for Diana. He cracked the egg and gave it a little pepper and salt. In the end, he still joined Diana in cooking even though he was forbidden to do so.
• Fed up, Diana lets Alpha Darren do what he wants.
• The two of them ended up cooking together. Occasionally Alpha Darren glanced at Diana who was buttering the bread. And when Diana turned on the stove to cook the bread, that's when Alpha Darren took over Diana's position. He quickly grabbed the handle of the pan and shifted Diana's body to the side.
• Diana patted Alpha Darren's shoulder so that the man turned his head. *"What are you doing? I'm going to bake the bread.”
• Alpha Darren handed Diana the unwashed vegetables. “Just wash the vegetables, I'll bake the bread and cook the eggs.”
• Now it was no longer Diana who ruled the kitchen, but Alpha Darren. He tried his best to toast the bread and cook the eggs. He did it like he was handling something serious.
• Because of Alpha Darren's dead serious face, Diana had to peek out from behind. But Alpha Darren's body covered Diana's view. Until Diana's focus was unconsciously diverted from the bread to Alpha Darren's back.
• There are so many men who have muscular bodies, but in Diana's opinion, Alpha Darren's body is different. It was like calling Diana to hug him from behind.
• “Where are the vegetables that you have washed?”
• Alpha Darren's question made Diana realize that she had gone too far with her wild fantasies. She then shook her head and quickly picked up the vegetables and handed them to Alpha Darren.
• Swiftly and skillfully Alpha Darren arranged the toast sandwich that Diana was dying to eat. Not only that, he also arranged the food on the plate very elegantly, cutting it into small pieces so that Diana did not need to cut it again, even decorating it as well as food served in restaurants.
• If it wasn't for her prestige, Diana would have shown her admiration for the food. But she only showed the usual expressionless flat face that she normally showed to Alpha Darren.
• After finishing arranging Diana's food, Alpha Darren brought it to the dining table. He waited for Diana to sit down and then pulled out a chair for himself.
• “Eat,” Alpha Darren said.
• Diana began to eat her food. Meanwhile, Alpha Darren went back to the kitchen to get a glass of water for Diana, then he sat down again, waiting for Diana to finish eating.
• But Diana personally didn't like being watched while she ate. So she put down her fork and looked at Alpha Darren lazily. *"What's the point of watching me eat?”
• Alpha Darren wanted to discuss something but he wanted Diana to finish her food first. But it seemed that the explanation of the explosion incident needed to be discussed now.
• “It's about the explosion that happened in my office.” Finally Alpha Darren opens the conversation. “My team made a mistake, they put a bomb hidden in a projector into the meeting room. Fortunately there were no victims. Until now the police are also still investigating the perpetrator.”
• Alpha Darren paused for a moment to look at Diana's expression, then he continued to explain, “As long as the perpetrator has not been confirmed, anyone can be the one, including your kidnapper at that time.”
• Diana furrowed her brows, *“why do you think it's the same one?”
• “I can't be sure either. But you better stop working because I think the man who kidnapped you is still out there to come back again,” Alpha Darren said. He was actually very annoyed that he hadn't been able to uncover Diana's kidnapper when he should have been able to do so easily because he was an Alpha with extensive connections and reliable troops. But the perpetrator of Diana's kidnapping was like swallowed by the earth, disappearing without a trace. Even the car that was used to kidnap Diana at that time was also lost.
• *“I will not stop working,” Diana replied firmly. She would never risk her career for something uncertain. *"That's just your prejudice. As long as the perpetrator hasn't been caught, I'll just take your opinion as your negative thoughts.” Diana took a moment to take a deep breath. *"Since the bomber in your office could be anyone, it could be your enemy because it is impossible for me to have an enemy.”
• In addition to the reasons Alpha Darren had expressed for telling Diana to stop working, another reason was because Alpha Darren was worried that the kidnapper would hurt Diana next time.
• Alpha Darren didn't mind if the kidnappers came back to hurt him, but if they hurt Diana, then he wouldn't tolerate it.
• Diana surprised Alpha Darren by suddenly putting the glass down on the table with a bang. She stood up to leave the dining table because she was annoyed with Alpha Darren's restrictions that were not in accordance with their contract where the contract did not explain that Diana could not work. Therefore, Diana wanted to show her boldness.
• Diana did not want to be stuck in this house too after being entangled in a contract marriage with Alpha Darren.“Finish your food and then you can leave.” Instead of letting Diana leave the dining table, Alpha Darren was the one who left. He knew that if he did not leave, Diana would let her stomach to starve and Alpha Darren did not want that to happen, he did not want Diana to get sick.
