Chapter 127 22: Hostility

• Aaron kept glancing up at Davine every once in a while, and though Zera noticed, she said nothing about it. Maybe he was putting together his theory like she had, and there was no problem with that.
• After the last staff member, Mrs. Shelly Green, shared her work and home experiences in the last year, they called it a wrap on the talk experience. The next plan of the night was the mingle section and getting to know each other better. Aaron asked if she wanted to leave, but she didn’t want to; for some strange reason, she felt the urge to stay.
• A few staff members approached them and said hello. While some were acquainted with Aaron from the fund-raiser over three years ago, others knew him from the news.
