• I knew what he was talking about, and I just didn't expect him to point it out so starkly. I feel like my brain is buzzing right now. I looked at his Adam's apple and stammered, "I... know."
• Charles seemed satisfied with my answer. He reached out and gently tugged at my bra strap, then let go. The strap bounces back down, making a snap on my collarbone. My whole body trembled and my cheeks burned. I felt Charles toying with me, but I couldn't fight it, and I crossed my arms even harder.
